In the discussion about our article on changing permissions on a single file in Windows Vista, TechRepublic member rignatius asked if we could explain how to apply the permission changes to all of the subfolders and files in the hierarchy of a particular folder. This How do I… shows that the basic procedure is the same, but there are a few more check boxes to look at during the process.

Is IT losing the battle against DNS attacks?

That may explain why companies are spending so much time to deploy myriad, complex security measures to keep their DNS protected from malicious attackers. A study released Wednesday of 465 IT and business professionals says despite the Sisyphean efforts, many companies remain vulnerable.

En mi red local tengo un ruteador Lynksys (Wireless-G Broadband Router WRT54G) con WiFi. Aparentemente la combinación Windows XP y Linksys es bastante inestable a juzgar por la información disponible en Internet. Un problema típico es el misterioso Conectividad limitada o nula que de repente aparece de la nada en configuraciones que estaban funcionando perfectamente.
